Pastel Nagomi Art is a Japanese mindful art. It was founded in Japan by Mr. Norikatsu Hosoya of Japan Pastel Hope Art Association (JPHAA) in 2003. Making the art is believed to be helpful to relieve stress and find calmness.
Pastel is a type of art material that can create warm and gentle tones in a piece of art. Pastel powders and fingers are used in Pastel Nagomi Art to create a transparent and gentle artwork through simple but unique techniques. From a child to an elderly person, regardless of levels of skills, everyone can create a piece of art within 20 minutes easily. The process of painting will calm one’s feelings and awaken the hope in the heart.
